Tested by Kimi, our Junior Feline Tester – an adult male blue-grey Chartreux with a dense plush coat and copper-gold eyes, and a very clear understanding of what constitutes an acceptable harness fitting process (brief) and an unacceptable one (prolonged). The Mesh Harness in Pink S was introduced over an evening and on by the second attempt the following morning. The velcro adjustment required one minor tweak for his chest; after that the fit was clean, the mesh sat flat against his coat without bunching, and he walked the length of the hall before sitting to consider whether he approved. He wore it for three lead-training sessions in the garden across the following week, the D-ring taking the clip of the matching lead without any twist or shift. The reflective strip was tested on a low-light evening walk; it caught the torch beam clearly. The velcro showed no sign of picking at his coat over repeated on/off cycles.

His verdict: he has accepted it, which is a different thing from enjoying it, and in the circumstances it is sufficient.
