The Car Hammock

The back seat, finally handed over to the dog – and your upholstery handed back to you. The Car Hammock slings between the front and rear headrests to make a deep, secure cradle that stops a dog tipping into the footwell on sharp braking, while side flaps fold out over the door sills to guard the paintwork from claws and muddy scrambles. It is genuinely waterproof: two bonded layers, a tough quilted 600D outer and a TPU backing, heat-pressed together with no stitch holes for water to find, so rain, river-water and the inevitable post-walk mess stay on top and wipe straight off. A split zip down the middle lets you run it as a full hammock or drop one half flat so a passenger can ride alongside, and a mesh window keeps you and the dog in sight of each other. Quick-release clips and seat anchors hold it taut; seatbelt openings keep a harness usable. When the day has been a proper one, the whole thing comes out and goes in the machine.
