Tested by Kimi, our Junior Feline Tester – an adult male blue-grey Chartreux with a dense plush coat, a white chest bib and copper-gold eyes that register approval with notable economy. The Bow Set in Red M was fitted on a Tuesday morning in under ninety seconds. The mesh vest sat flat against Kimi’s chest without twisting; the bow-knot sat upright at his sternum and remained so throughout the fitting. Kimi performed his usual assessment of new equipment – a brief stillness followed by a walk to the window – and the harness moved correctly with him on both occasions. The lead was attached to the D-ring and walked for twelve minutes through the house; it followed without snagging. The buckle was opened and refastened fourteen times across the trial week without any loosening. The mesh lining showed no marks on Kimi after five days of trial use. The bow remained structured and did not flatten under normal movement.

His verdict: he sat in the bay window for forty minutes wearing it, which from a Chartreux constitutes a formal endorsement.
